| Two sisters, Su-mi and Su-yeon
come back home after getting treatment for a long illness. Eun-joo,
their stepmother, welcomes them, but Su-mi, the elder sister,
intentionally avoids her while Su-yeon, the younger sister,
shows fear for her stepmother. On their first night, Su-yeon
sneaks into Su-mi’s room confessing that there is someone in
her room. Su-mi consoles her, but the night, images of her late
mother hanging herself in Su-yeon’s closet reappear in her dreams.
Su-mi, waking up breathless, becomes even more horrified when
she sees a ghost creeping to her bed the next morning.
Strange things begin to happen after this day. A ghost haunts
the house and stepmother’s adored birds are killed, and the
late mother’s belongings are found inside the house. Assuming
Su-yeon is behind the inauspicious incidents, the stepmother
locks her in the closet. When Su-mi learns about the cruel
punishment, conflict between the stepmother and two sisters
gets bitter than ever. Su-mi goes to Mu-hyun, her father,
and tells him that Eun-joo has been tormenting Su-yeon.
One day, Mu-hyun goes into town and Su-mi finds no sign of
her younger sister, Su-yeon.anywhere. Petrified, Su-mi scurries
around the whole house searching for her sister. She finally
spots bloody stains on the floor, leading Su-mi to a closet
in Su-yeon’s room. Just then, Eun-joo lunges at Su-mi and
attack her. They fight vehemently and in the end Eun-joo strikes
down Su-mi and she collapses. Moments later, the front door
opens, and an unexpected visitor steps into the house. The
new guest sends chills down everyone’s spine.
